A five week cookery, nutrition and wellbeing course.
Learn to prepare delicious and nutritious cardio protective foods. Learn to cook, be creative, meet new people, build self-confidence and eat delicious food.
Week 1: Healthy start
turkish eggs, carrot tartar, sesame bread sticks
granola, berry compote, yoghurt
Week 2: Vital bites
smoked mackerel pate, rye crispbreads, beetroot salsa
roast asparagus, quinoa tabbouleh, roast pepper & walnut dip
Week 3: Super salads
watercress, apple & walnut panzanella
tortillas, corn & pepper salsa, guacamole
primavera pasta salad, halloumi cheese, pesto dressing
Week 4: Omegatastic
pumpkin zinger soup
teriyaki salmon, sticky brown rice, chilli seared broccoli
chocolate seed brittle
Week 5: Marvellous meze
kale & feta borek, tzatziki
stuffed aubergines, bulger pilaf, chopped salad
spiced apricots & honeyed almonds
This course is open to all, but priority places are for older generation men who are carers, live on their own or who in other ways in need.
